Tips: Do not miss the Clärchens Ballhaus ballroom, Mitte.
Saved from neglect, the faded grandeur of this 19th-century Berlin ballroom today reflects the dynamism of the neighbourhood's inhabitants. Amidst the elegant cafés, unusual shops and art galleries of the lively Mitte district, Clärchens Ballhaus shines brightly. Founded in 1913 by Fritz Bühler and his wife Clara, affectionately known as Clärchen, the two-storey ballroom has a graceful appearance and is reviving Berlin's Dancehall!
